Seven primary school teams clinched top honours at the Sony Gulf Dubai Schools Football League that drew the overall participation of 90 children’s teams from all across Dubai.
This year Sony has broadened the scope of the Sony Science Show to include families. There will be two Shows run on 29 April scheduled at 11.00am and 3.00pm. The Shows are free of cost and the allocation of seats is on a first-come-first-served basis. It will be held at the Dubai Knowledge Village auditorium in Dubai.

Sony Gulf FZE recently supported the Dubai Schools’ Football League 2007 where children from the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade from several schools in Dubai came together to vie for the tournament championship from 21st to 29th November 2007. The Dubai School’s Football League saw children from 18 primary schools in the Emirate compete in the tournament. Sony Gulf presented a series of awards including the ‘Player of the tournament’ award; individual medals for winners and runners-up and the ‘Champions’ Trophy for the winners in each grade.
Apart from a stimulating drive, testing routes and loads of adventure, this year’s ‘Gulf News Fun Drive’ offered entertainment from Sony Gulf. Three extravagant ‘Camp Theatres’ were set-up at the campsite which featured their signature BRAVIA televisions with complete cinema set up. The audience experienced a unique cinema experience in the middle of ‘Liwa’ desert. The theatres were equipped with 52-inch BRAVIA TV sets complete with Sony Blu-ray Disc Players and Sony Home theatre systems.
The Cyber-shot T200 and T70 feature the new Sony “Smile Shutter” function, which enables the camera to automatically react to a smile – a first for digital photography.
Sony recently launched the world’s smallest Full High Definition Handycam camcorder – the HDR-TG1 at a press conference in Dubai.
