What are the available "Wide Mode" settings?

Question:

Available Wide Mode settings.

Answer:

User can select a suitable picture mode from the original picture source.

There are two types of original picture sources.

  • Normal: 4:3
  • Wide Mode: 16:9

Wide Mode

4:3 Original Source

16:9 Original source

Remark

Wide Zoom
- to display the normal (4:3) source in wide screen
* picture will stretch into full screen
Normal
- to display normal (4:3) source in its original form
* there will be vertical gray or black bars on both sides of the screen.
Full
- to display 16:9 source in wide screen
* if used for 4:3 source, picture will stretch into full screen and appear wider and taller than normal
Zoom
- to display letter box format broadcasts in full screen
(letter box format - black bars at the top and bottom of the original picture)
* You can adjust the position of the picture when selecting Zoom by pressing  UP/ DOWN  on the remote control to move the picture up or down. (example: to read subtitles)

Note: LCD TV can auto detect the source type and auto select the suitable mode by selecting the Auto Wide to On condition.
