How to use the Wi-Fi Direct feature on the TV with an iPhone or iPad mobile device

    • Make sure that the TV is connected and set up to a high-speed Internet connection.
    • Make sure that the TV is updated with the latest system software (firmware) update.

Follow these steps to set up the Wi-Fi Direct feature:

    1. Activate the Wi-Fi Direct mode of the BRAVIA TV.
For details on the setting procedure, refer to the following FAQs

    2. Establish a connection with the iPhone or iPad.
      1. Keep the TV on the screen that displays the WPA key (password) to be input into the mobile device.

      2. Select Wi-Fi in the mobile device’s settings to turn on the Wi-Fi.

      3. Tap Direct-xx-BRAVIA on the mobile device’s screen to display the password input screen.
Enter the WPA key (password) displayed on the TV screen, then tap Join.

      4. Allow a few minutes for the connection to be established, and the Settings screen to appear.
If a check mark is displayed at SSID on the mobile device side and a dashed line is displayed on the TV side, the connection is established normally.

NOTE: If a connection is not established, re-attempt the steps above and make sure that the WPA Password is entered correctly.

Once the setup is complete, media can be shared between the mobile device and the TV using application such as iMediaShare software. For additional information including information on how to get specific Wi-Fi Direct applications on your mobile device, visit the Apple website at or contact your mobile device retailer.
