The error Update failed. Connect the USB memory containing the update files or connect to the network to retry. is displayed on the TV screen.

If the software update failed via the Internet by using Update via Internet, check the following:

1. Make sure that the router and all of the equipment connected to the router and the AV receiver are switched on.
2. When the AV receiver is connected through a wired network, check that the AV receiver and router are connected correctly.
3. Press OK on the error message, and then press the button on the remote control.
4. Try Update via Internet again.
5. If the software update still fails via the Internet, download the firmware from the support page and try updating by Update via USB Memory.
