This issue can occur if the phrase Hey Google comes from the TV, for example during a commercial. The TV's Built-in microphone might hear that and react to it. If this happens, on the remote control, press the BACK button to cancel the Google Assistant ready status.
If the built-in mic still responds incorrectly frequently, you can turn off the main unit microphone function.
- On the remote control, press the HOME button.
- When the Home screen is displayed, press the Dashboard (
) button on the remote control.
- Select All Settings.
- Select Privacy.
- Select Microphone.
- Select Microphone access, and set to OFF.
