The Bluetooth connection gets disconnected, and then I am unable to reconnect again
Bluetooth connectivity issues with car audio systems can be frustrating, but they are often resolvable. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and fix the problem with your Sony car audio:
1. Basic Troubleshooting
- Restart Devices: Turn off your car audio system and your phone, then turn them back on.
- Toggle Bluetooth: Turn off Bluetooth on your device, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
2. Forget and Re-pair the Device
- Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and remove the car audio device from the paired list (typically called "Forget Device").
- On your Sony car audio, delete your phone from its paired devices list. Refer to the user manual for instructions.
- Re-pair the devices: Put your car audio system into pairing mode and reconnect it to your device.
3. Check for Interference
- Ensure no other nearby Bluetooth devices are causing interference by turning them off temporarily.
- Keep your phone close to the car audio system during the connection process.
4. Reset the Car Audio System
Perform a factory reset on your Sony car audio system. The process varies by model, refer to the product manuals for details.

- For car stereos that have Bluetooth wireless features, it is necessary to perform the Bluetooth Initialize procedure to completely reset it

- Depending on your car stereo, press
- Press Home/Standby button
- Select General setting/System
- Select Factory Reset
- Turn on your car stereo.
5. Clear Bluetooth Cache on Your Phone (Android Only)
- Go to
Settings.
- Select
Apps → All apps → Bluetooth (if not found, select Show System Processes/App).
- Select Storage & cache.
- Select
CLEAR CACHE.
- Select
CLEAR STORAGE → Delete.
- Restart your phone.
6. Check Compatibility
- Ensure your device's Bluetooth version is compatible with your Sony car audio system. Some older systems may not support newer Bluetooth versions.
