My smartphone vibrates when I use the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app
With Sony | BRAVIA Connect version 3.4 or later, your smartphone provides haptic feedback through vibrations. Because of this, when you are using the app, your smartphone may vibrate in the following situations:
- When swiping or tapping on the touchpad
- When using the remote control to change TV channels, adjust the volume, etc.
- When configuring settings for Picture & Sound, Audio output, etc.
- When completing initial settings or software updates
Notes:
- Not all of the above actions will cause a vibration.
- The vibration may not work depending on your smartphone's specifications and/or settings.
Hint: If you don't want your smartphone to vibrate:
You can change the settings on your smartphone if you don't want it to vibrate. The following steps are just examples. For details, refer to your smartphone user manual.
- Android smartphone
Tap Settings → Sound & vibration → Vibration & haptics, and then set Use vibration & haptics to Off. - iPhone / iPad
Tap Settings → Sound & Haptics, and then set System Haptics to Off.
Notes:
- Depending on your smartphone's specifications, disabling the setting may prevent your phone from vibrating when you receive a call or an emergency earthquake alert.
- Some smartphones do not allow you to turn off the setting. Please check your smartphone's specifications for details.
