Troubleshoot your Bravia TV Wi-Fi Connection (Other than Android TV)
Perform the following steps:
- Make sure the TV has the latest system software update installed. Refer to How to perform software update on BRAVIA TV.
- Set the TV from DHCP to Static IP and Google DNS Settings.
- Obtain the Local IP using you mobile phone.
- IP address or IPv4 address
- Subnet Mask
- Default Gateway
- Primary DNS or DNS server
- Secondary DNS
- Using the remote supplied with the TV, press the Home button.
- Select Settings.
- Select System Settings
- Select Set-up.
- Select Network
- Select Network Set-up
- Select Set up network connection
- Select Expert.
NOTE: For secured wireless setup, a Network security key needs to be entered before the IP address and Proxy server setting screen is displayed. - Connect to the Router and Enter the password to connect.
- Enter the IP information for the TV obtained on Step 2.
- IP address: The IP address should be the same, except for the last number in the four-number sequence. Change the last number to a number higher than the original but less than 254. For example, if the IP address shown on your mobile phone is 192.168.0.5, enter 192.168.0.105
- Subnet Mask: Enter the Subnet mask exactly as attained from the mobile phone.
- Default Gateway: Enter the Gateway/ Router exactly as attained from the mobile phone.
- Primary DNS: Enter 8.8.8.8 as Primary DNS
- Secondary DNS: Enter 8.8.4.4 secondary DNS
NOTE: Sony do not use a proxy server. Select NO if prompted to use a proxy server.
- Obtain the Local IP using you mobile phone.
- Select Save and Connect to establish a Network connection.
