How to optimise Noise Cancellation to match your listening style

IMPORTANT: Only selective models support Adaptive Sound Control. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article for supported models.

Want to reduce or increase Noise Cancellation levels? Interested in playing around with Ambient sound or Noise cancellation?  Sony’s Sound Connect app features Adaptive Sound Control. Let’s see how it allows you to optimise your listening experience!

When the Adaptive Sound Control is set to On, the Sound Connect app detects where you are and what you are doing and adjusts the setting of the Noise Canceling or Ambient Sound Control. The notification sound tells you when the Noise Canceling or Ambient Sound Control setting change.

Note: To disable the notification sound, open the Sony | Sound Connect app and, in the Adaptive Sound Control screen, turn off Notification Tone When Switching.

How can I change Adaptive Sound Control to set Noise Cancelling levels to the maximum?

    1. Connect the headphones and smartphone via Bluetooth, and then launch the Sony | Sound Connect app
    2. Follow these steps to turn Off the Adaptive Sound Control:
      1. On the My Device tub, select  (right arrow) at the right side of the Adaptive Sound Control menu.
