Compatible Bluetooth devices with Sony Bluetooth headphones
The connected device must support the following Bluetooth profiles and codecs to use the functions of the headphones.
For information on supported profiles and codecs, refer to the product specifications webpage or the product manual for the device.
- Music playback
- A2DP, AVRCP
If the device supports AVRCP, you can play or pause music and adjust the volume on your headphones. - SBC, AAC
If the device supports AAC, you can play music with higher sound quality compared with SBC.

- HFP, HSP
If the device supports HFP, you can handle calls and talk hands-free using your headphones.

- Other functions
- If both the headphones and the playback device support LDAC, High-Resolution (Hi-Res) audio sources can be transmitted in high quality.
- If both the headphones and the playback device support LC3*, audio sources can be transmitted with low latency.
* LC3 is an audio codec used in Bluetooth LE Audio.
If you use the Sony | Sound Connect app, check whether your smartphone meets the supported OS requirements for the app.
Note: Even if the Bluetooth profiles and supported codecs of the playback device are the same, connection to all Bluetooth devices is not guaranteed.
