How to disable Google’s Find Hub feature on your headphones

    If unknown Sony headphones are detected on your smartphone, they could be misused to track you without your consent. To prevent this, it's recommended to disable Google's Find Hub feature by following these steps:

    Truly Wireless Earbuds

    If the charging case is near you:

    1. Place the headphone units into the charging case.
      Keep the charging case lid open.
    2. Press and hold the initialize button on the back of the charging case for about 15 seconds or more.
      The indicator on the charging case repeatedly flashes blue twice in a row, then the indicator starts flashing orange.
    3. Release your finger within 5 seconds after the indicator on the charging case starts flashing orange.
      When initialization is complete, the indicator on the charging case flashes green 4 times.

    If the charging case is not available:

    Hint: If you have already obtained the owner's information within 10 minutes, start from Step 4.

    1. Make sure the headphones and smartphone are not connected.
    2. Open Settings on your smartphone, and tap Safety & EmergencyUnknown tracker alertsScan now.
      Note: It takes about 10 seconds to complete a manual scan.
    3. Follow the on-screen guidance to obtain the owner's information.
      Triple-tap the headphones three times within 7 seconds to enter the owner information acquisition mode. You will hear a notification sound confirming that the headphones have entered the mode.
    4. Within 10 minutes of entering the owner information acquisition mode, double-tap the headphones three times within 7 seconds. You will hear a notification sound confirming that the step is complete.

    Over-Ear Headphones

    1. Turn off the headphones.
      Remove the USB Type-C® cable.
    2. Press and hold the power button and the NC/AMB button for about 7 seconds.
      The indicator on the headphones repeatedly flashes blue twice in a row, then the indicator starts flashing orange.
